Famous Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kyoto

The Fushimi Inari shrine is famous for the hundreds of torii shrine gates painted in orange and black. These shrines were placed within 2 feet of each other, side by side, up to a mile curving the mountain to the top. The gates were dedicated to Inari, the shinto god of rice.

It was a rainy day during our visit which made it all the more enchanting.
