Onsen next to Starbucks
Yep. There's just no getting away from Starbucks. Its infiltrated every crack on the planet. I would like to point out the irony of this photograph - the building to the left of Starbucks is an ONSEN. This is Sue's favorite japanese word for "hot baths". Uh-huh, it features 11 individual hot baths indoors and outdoors with varying temperatures, one cold plunge, another being a rich mineral bath trucked in from the mountains and a super hot sauna! WOW! We only had an hour to soak in all the goodness so I dipped myself in each pool.

They had ones where you sit and its shaped like lounge chair, submerged to your neck, outside! yummy! My other personal fave are the jetted pools. There were 3 stationed pools each with different placement of jets that shoot out to your upper/lower back, the back and side of your calves and under your feet. This one gets an around-the-world-and-backsnap. I dabbled in the super hot sauna, dipped in the cold plunge and got my vertigo 3x. No wonder the japanese are so mellow! « hide more
