Welcome to Singapore

We experienced a bit of culture shock when we landed in Singapore. We woke up at 4am, hopped on a van for a 1 hour ride to Manila airport, flew 3 hours, got off the plane and hopped on the Singapore MRT (subway)to head to the hostel. The subway itself was spic-n-span, a Mr. Clean sort of shine with marble floors, smear-free glass doors, no dirt or dried up gum anywhere on the floor. It was comparable to the level of cleanliness we found on the bullet trains in Japan. It was a good 20 minute ride to the hostel so that gave us time to mentally transition from Philippines to Singapore.
