A view from the top, well half way

We woke up around 4 am to hike up to the top, straight up loose volcanic sand that was very difficult to hike in. For every step you take, you slide down a half step. The hike up to top takes around 3 1/2 hours. We couldn't hike all the way up - instead hiked for an hour and stayed at a flat part halfway up to enjoy the sunrise.
