Made (mah-day) the carver of wood

Made has been carving wood for over 35 years. My eyes were in amazment to see his craft. This is the main art market in Ubud, where lots of crafts are sold. Many of people either bring the crafts from the surrounding villages or sell their craft personally. I was going to by an art piece from made but did not have any money on me and I said I will be back. He was not happy since many people say they will be back. A couple of days later I walk in pick up a wooden buddha he carved and he was very happy to see that I kept my word. It was a nice exchange as I was still blown away from his craftsmanship.
