Sala

I could not resist to try this fruit I've never seen before.
It is called Sala. Its exterior peel looks and feels like lizard skin, which made me all the more curious about it. Once you peel the skin off, there is a crunchy tart white flesh similar to the consistency of a pear and it smells like a ripe pear too!

I've concluded that it probably comes from the pear family with an exotic exterior.
