It was a surprise to me to find lots of trees on Fraser Island. I did expect acres of palm trees but didn't see any of those. Instead, we found a rainforest niche, dense with trees.

Apparently, on the west side of the island are mangroves that stretch up and down the island but since it is so dense, hardly any tours (maybe just private ones) go there.
