About an our boat ride further north of the Nam Ou river is a tiny little paradise of Muang Ngoi. It can only be reached by boat and located on a prime spot above the river overlooking fog-covered limestone cliffs (its covered with fog only during the mornings and burns off at noon - hey! that sounds like San Francisco!)
