Around the Co Chi tunnel system, there were dozens of different traps set up around the tunnel. They all involved these sinkholes with sharp stakes in them. They also got creative with small trap doors hidden under leaf litter that flip when stepped on and and underneath are more sharp metal stakes that swivel and dig into feet, ankles, legs, thighs and upper body. The idea was stopping power. It was barbaric.
